Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-28.1 · Effective 2026-09-27

This Terms of Service applies to JRRobbins.com and the JR-branded website, community, media, messaging, games, store and related services. References to “JR”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the operator of JRRobbins.com. These terms are intended to operate to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law and do not remove rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

1. Contract and incorporated policies

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and the operator of JRRobbins.com when you create an account, access member-only features, submit content, make a purchase, start a subscription, or otherwise use a service that states these Terms apply. The Privacy Policy, Age & Eligibility Policy, Community Guidelines, Acceptable Use Policy, User-Generated Content Terms, feature-specific rules, store terms and any purchase-specific terms are incorporated into this agreement where relevant.

2. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 16 years old to hold a JR account. You must provide accurate registration information and must not register for another person without lawful authority. If you use JR on behalf of a business or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to the applicable business terms.

3. Account licence and responsibility

JR grants you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable permission to access the service in accordance with these Terms. Your account, username, badges, rankings, achievements, saved states and access privileges are service features and do not give you ownership of JR systems, software or platform infrastructure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and for activity carried out through your account unless the activity resulted from a failure by JR to exercise reasonable care required by law.

4. Platform rules and enforcement

You must comply with all applicable laws and published JR policies. JR may investigate suspected breaches and may remove or restrict content, limit visibility, disable features, rate-limit activity, quarantine files, require additional security steps, temporarily suspend access, terminate accounts, preserve evidence, or take other proportionate action where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, or protect the integrity and availability of the service.

Urgent action may be taken without advance notice where delay could create legal, security, fraud, safeguarding or material service risk. Where appropriate and lawful, JR may provide reasons and access to a review or appeal process.

5. User content

You retain ownership of original content you create, subject to the limited licence described in the User-Generated Content Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, permissions and lawful basis needed to upload, publish, transmit or otherwise use content on JR. You must not upload content that infringes rights, violates privacy, breaches confidence, is unlawful, or is prohibited by JR policy.

6. Service changes and availability

JR may update, improve, replace, suspend or discontinue non-essential features where reasonably required for security, compliance, product development, technical compatibility, cost control or operational reasons. JR does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, delivery of every message or notification, permanent retention of user content, compatibility with every device, or preservation of every feature forever. JR Chat, voice and video services are not emergency communication services.

7. Purchases and paid services

Store purchases, digital products and subscriptions are additionally governed by the applicable Store Terms, Returns & Refunds Policy, Digital Products Terms and Subscription Terms. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory rights provided by UK consumer law.

8. Intellectual property

The JR service, software, design, branding, databases, non-user content and related intellectual property belong to JR or its licensors. Except where expressly permitted, you may not copy, adapt, reverse engineer, resell, scrape, reproduce or exploit JR systems or content in a manner that infringes rights or circumvents technical restrictions.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, or any other liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.

If you are a consumer, JR is responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of JR breaching this agreement or failing to use reasonable care and skill, but JR is not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, losses caused by circumstances outside JR's reasonable control where the law permits, or business losses arising from consumer use. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

If you use JR wholly or mainly for business purposes, then, to the fullest extent permitted by law, JR excludes liability for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings. Subject to liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited, JR's aggregate liability to a business user arising out of the service will not exceed the greater of £100 and the fees paid by that business user to JR for the relevant service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.

10. Termination and survival

You may stop using JR and close your account subject to outstanding payment obligations and lawful retention requirements. JR may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated breach, unlawful conduct, fraud, serious security risk, persistent evasion of enforcement, or where continued service would expose JR or others to unacceptable legal or operational risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual-property, payment, liability, evidence-preservation and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the country where a consumer habitually resides. If you are a consumer, nothing in this clause deprives you of mandatory rights to bring proceedings in another court where applicable law gives you that right.
