Refusal to Work with Intelligence Agencies and Agents Policy for JRRobbins.com
Effective Date: September 9, 2024
JRRobbins.com is committed to protecting the privacy, free speech, and civil liberties of its users. This policy outlines our refusal to cooperate with domestic or foreign intelligence agencies for the purposes of surveillance, data collection, or monitoring of users without a valid and lawful UK/EU court order.
1. Legal Basis for Refusal to Cooperate
JRRobbins.com is bound by UK and EU legal standards, which protect the privacy and freedoms of individuals from undue government interference. The following laws provide the basis for our refusal to work with intelligence agencies unless legally required:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): Protects personal data and requires strict legal justification for data collection, particularly from governmental bodies.
- Investigatory Powers Act 2016 (UK): Establishes the framework for lawful surveillance in the UK, requiring intelligence agencies to obtain judicial approval for any form of surveillance or data access.
Without a valid UK court order or warrant, JRRobbins.com will refuse to cooperate with intelligence agencies, including requests from:
- Domestic intelligence agencies, such as MI5.
- Foreign intelligence agencies, including but not limited to U.S. agencies (e.g., NSA, FBI) or other international bodies.
2. Scope of Refusal
JRRobbins.com will not:
- Provide user data to intelligence agencies without a valid UK/EU court order.
- Allow intelligence agencies to monitor or surveil user activity on the platform.
- Collaborate with intelligence agents for the purposes of covert or overt data collection without legal justification.
Requests from foreign intelligence agencies will be rejected unless they comply with UK law and are supported by a UK court order.
3. User Data Protection
As per Article 8 of the ECHR and GDPR, JRRobbins.com is committed to protecting users’ personal data from unlawful collection, monitoring, or processing. Any intelligence agency requesting access to user data must provide a legal basis for the request, and users will be informed of such requests where legally possible.
4. Reporting Intelligence Agency Requests
If JRRobbins.com receives a request from an intelligence agency, the request will be:
- Evaluated by our legal team to ensure compliance with UK/EU law.
- Denied if it lacks proper legal justification (i.e., warrant or court order).
- Reported to users whose data is being requested, unless prohibited by law.
